Austria

I feel something we lack in the United States is architecture. Everything here is modern and constantly being torn down and rebuilt to fit in. I wish we kept the old style architecture around for generations to come. Austria has some of the worlds most beautiful architecture I have ever seen. The Schonbrunn Palace, Hundertwasserhous, Belvedere Complex, and St. Stephen's Cathedral are all incredible works of arts that I would love to see. I  especially want to see St. Stephen's Cathedral. Stained glass is one of my favorite types of art that I have studied. The way light affects the glass to create extremely colorful pieces of art always has intrigued me. After looking up images of the Cathedral I couldn't believe what I was seeing. The walls are covered with projected colors. It is absolutely incredible! I am curios to find out the story and history behind the glass tiles and colorful art.
Look at that!!!!! <- Did I mention it's cool?

Now that I have been on an okay diet all semester I am completely ready to gain all my weight back in Austria... The sweets look so good that they have my mouth watering! I have made it my goal to taste test every one I can get my hands on. Gugelhupf looks delicious. It sounds like an apple pie with a vanilla topping. I have heard though that sweets over in Europe are not as saturated with sugar compared to what we are used to here in the United States.
