Are their kangaroos in Austria?

Today would have to be marked as one of the more lazy days. We had roughly a seven hour long train ride from Zurich from to Linz, Austria. I know I sat still for seven hours? That's unheard of...

(Jeff refused to smile.)

(But it's Jeff, so he's awesome)

Although we were sitting for most of the time the views out of the train were beyond amazing! Pictures do not do the landscapes justice. The rolling green hills & valleys and white snowy peaked mountains are incredible.

It was so cool to see the small homes and different towns. Every house and town looks like it is strait off of a postcard. The houses all have peeked brown roofs and white walls with window shutters on the outside. It is totally different than homes here in the states. To be honest I like them much better than the houses at home. They have culture built into them.

Looking at them from the train really put the size of the country into perspective.
They are so small on a map, yet so big in person.

Besides the views, I'd have to say the people on the train itself were pretty entertaining. Right in front of me was a group of loud, obnoxious, crazy rocker people. After watching them spill beer and scream and argue with a lady, Santi finally explained who they were. These guys were dressed in leather biker jackets, covered in patches, and all sporting the confederate flag. Apparently they are "Rockabillys", which is a group of people who are a mix of rock music and the hillbilly lifestyle. Let's just say it was freaky.

After arriving in Linz we checked into the hotel and then followed Fran to the center of the city.

We found this little restaurant to eat at. While sitting at the table Lindsey asked the waiter "do kangaroos live in Austria?" I don't think I have seen someone laugh so hard in my life. Then we took a selfie with him and he introduced himself and we chatted for a minute about the city and where he is from. By the way the desserts were amazing!!!! Heaven! I had the Carmel one and couldn't finish it because it was so big.

We then walked back to the hotel, and we are now sitting in the lobby writing our blogs together.
THE WIFI WORKS! It was nice to finally get some strong wifi. Even without adequate wifi in many places, no blog was ever turned in late.
